Review: My father was Vice President of the Academy of Dermatology and Chairman of Dermatology at a major hospital. He took pride in his Yale education and I traveled with him to many Academy meetings. If I needed a doctor, my father would call some Chairman somewhere, and within a day or two, I was in with the best of the best.So when I had my car accident I naturally went to see an Internist my father arranged for me. This Internist recommended surgery if the pain persisted. I was spending hours every day in the tub soaking and only getting temporary relief. I play the cello, and that upright body position was dreadful.I saw a friend of mine and she told me I should see Dr. Bearden. She loved him and went on and on about him. So I made an appointment. I was skeptical and the informality of the office was new to me. So my first meeting with Dr. Bearden, I was a skeptic and struggling with the…”Is he really a doctor?” The doctor elitism was passed down to me.So here it is. The informality of the office made me feel cared for, respected and valuable as a person. There was no intimidation what so ever or elitism at all; another new concept. I always heard that once you see a chiropractor you had to always go back…forever. Not the case with Dr. Bearden. He planned a release date with me and even once called me and asked me if I was ready to be released. His wife really runs his office like a well oiled machine. Dr. Bearden repeatedly gave all credit to his wife and staff. Ever heard of a doctor giving credit to his wife for his success? I have been around them all my life and that was the first time for me too. I never heard one critical word from any of his staff and I was there often. That positive, helpful spirit was evident by all who worked at Action Chiropractic.I am well, playing my cello, caring for my children and numerous work responsibilities. I am grateful I took the path less traveled and took a chance. I read Dr. Bearden’s book and I understood that really he is all about whole body health. When you see Dr. Bearden and his wife, they are both in incredible shape. They practice what they preach.Really? A Chiropractor? YES! Put aside your preconceived notions, do something different and see Dr. Bearden. Your preconceived notions may put you on the operating table.Lael Caldwell My father was Vice President of the Academy of Dermatology and Chairman of Dermatology at a major hospital.
